Welcome Back

Dear Cloister Friends,

For those of you returning to the Cloister Inn web site, welcome back. For those of you visiting for the first time, I'm glad you discovered us. We hope you all find this site helpful as you stay connected to the Cloister community.

The 2006-07 school year has begun, and I'd like to extend an invitation to all of you to stop by the club this fall for some football and fun. Join us for the pregame brunch and the postgame reception, and remember that first-come, first-served parking is available for members on Saturday games. Check out the Calendar link for the complete schedule.

While at the Club, be sure and take a walk upstairs to the library. Refurbishment of this room was the top priority of our summer renovations. Funding for the renovation was driven in large part by a campaign by the Class of 1996 to celebrate their 10-year reunion. Fittingly, last year we had more donors and raised more money than we had in any single year in over a decade.

The turnout at Reunions last June was tremendous. The clubhouse was packed with alumni representing eight decades of Cloister history. The excitement generated at the Club reminds us all how fortunate we re to be a part of the Cloister family.

I hope that you will keep Cloister in mind again this year. Despite our surge in fundraising last year, we still rely heavily on fundraising to balance our budget. I trust that you will give again this year by visiting the "Support Cloister" link or answering our fundraising letter.

And I hope to see you out at the club throughout football season and at Reunions 2007.
