Welcome Back Inn Mates!

It was GREAT to open our Inn last night a full 24 hours before anyone else on the street and have the opportunity to share conversation with you all!

I hope you are getting settled in, enjoyed tonight’s dinner as well and are excited about the coming year. We will keep the yummy treats like those Cotton Candy Grapes coming at you, along with the last of the sensational New Jersey tomatoes, corn, squash and fall produce. Please take full advantage of our interactive request sight, we love your suggestions and do our best to have them turned around asap.

Be sure to say Hi and get to know our staff, a GREAT Team that truly LOVE the Club and delight in seeing you happy!

I know a new social Calendar will be out soon..maybe one of our famous wine tastings will be on there..  Fall football receptions with the Alumns are coming (Think… like you..just a few years later! ) our Board will be visiting on the 21st and of course the 80’s Semi!

Lots of FUN is on the horizon..Be sure to take advantage of your ability to have ownership of an event.. ask any Club officer..

Until then be safe, spread the word about our Wonderful Club and do not hesitate to let me know what else we can do for you!

WOW…It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas (and Channukah!), can you believe we are here??!!

The Staff and I really enjoyed Winter Formals, you all looked great, and judging by the smiling faces, it seemed like you were really enjoying a grand evening. I hope you did.

Here’s the last Menu for ’12, My best wishes for a wonderful holiday season, enjoy yourselves with friends and family, and we will look forward to seeing you upon our return Sunday dinner 1/6/13!

Winter Formals are coming up soon so sign up asap!! This week we will welcome Sophs again @ Members Night, and Sat Brunch.. Tree trimming is set for Sunday evening, the ‘home fires will be burning’ and a nice relaxing evening will be on tap with snacks and refreshments.. Hang out and enjoy with your fellow Inn Mates..

Thanksgiving Week!

Hello everyone!

As you know it’s a short week at the Inn, but still we’ve got some fun ‘on tap’.

Please join me Tues evening in the Living room for a Horizontal tasting of the two chief grape Varietals of France’s Burgundy, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (of ‘Sideways Movie Fame). We will be doing a guided educational tasting, and scoring 3 of each type  in order to learn the process and better understand wine.While these will mostly be California wines I may have another French grape varietal around for later in my ‘bag of mix’.

A great time is in store, so please come out and enjoy!

 

A reminder too that if you are on Campus with no Thanksgiving Plan please let me know. I will be hosting a Family and Friends dinner Thanksgiving afternoon, so do contact me at ChefAlan@CloisterInn.com  or stop in my office for particulars, you are most welcome to join us!

Hi All..

A couple of things for this week and next… This week…Several Soph dinners and Brunches..Remember how it was for you? Please be welcoming and make them feel at home. Juniors…These are the folks you just might be sharing tables and times with over the next year and a half..What better time to get to know them and to help them get to know Cloister. Of course there will be DJ and Cider Sat night…GREAT week !!!

Now NEXT week…we will close at lunch Wed, and re open Sunday for dinner. If you happen to be stuck here over break and don’t have Thanksgiving plans please let me know. Hi Guys..

Just so you know… A GREAT Members night is coming with the Dom’Boots” DeFrancesco Trio post dinner to help you carve those Pumpkins..Great dinner, bevs, and Jazz!

ALSO… We are open through lunch this Friday, reopening with Sunday dinner 11/4.

For anyone interested and around Sat 11/3, it’s our 100th anniversary dinner for Alums! We could use some help with staffing the door, greeting guests, and gear sales…. Any volunteers would be welcome, and dinner would be ‘on the house’ as you get to sit with some of your own fine company..really a treat!

Let me know if anyone is interested, it will be a great celebration..

Members Please note!!! Saturday is HOMECOMING in our 100th Anniversary year. A lot of Alums will be here for the reception post Game so please do meet and greet! ALSO Dinner will be the Station reception that evening, and Brian will be sending out closing times soon, so make sure you get your meal then, NO Guests…Sorry!
